We are just a few weeks away from what would have been back-to-school for my kids. I’m not sure what the upcoming school season looks like for your family but here in California, we are fully remote learning. Needless to say, I have some very disappointed kids. They miss their friends, their teachers, and their daily activities. As a family, we are looking at this as an opportunity to do something a little different and turn this at home learning into a fun adventure. Who knows… this new way of schooling may stick for us!
To bring a little normalcy to my children’s new schedule we have decided to continue some of the old traditions. We plan to pick out a first day of school outfit, purchase a new backpack and lunch box from one of our local stores, and of course, our obligatory first day of school photo in front of our front door! (pictured is our last day of the 2019/2020 school year) I plan to pack my kids a lunch and snack every day to encourage learning breaks, snacks on the go, and outdoor picnics. The Fruitful Lunch Notes will still find their way into my kids day. I want to encourage them as they adventure through this new way of learning with reminders of happiness and little love notes. More than ever I want to connect with them as a family and help instill the fruit of the spirt into their daily lives.
